One of the quickest things you can do to lower your environmental impact is swap out some of the items you use all the time for an eco-friendly alternative. Here are some of my favorites!

Reusable Straws:

Peace Out Plastic- This reusable straw bundle is the perfect starter kit. It comes with 4 stainless steel straws, 2 wooden travel cases, 2 cleaning brushes, and a pouch to store them all! The straws are made of 18/8 food grade stainless steel and are FDA approved, rust-free, BPA free, and lead free. They also donate a percent of every sale to the Plastic Pollution Coalition. They're durable and will last for years.

Paper Towels:

Bamboo Towels- A roll of these towels can replace 6 MONTHS of regular paper towels. They're heavy duty and super absorbent. They're machine washable and can be used up to 120 times so not only will you save trees but you'll also save some cash.

Toothbrushes:

Bamboozled- These bamboo toothbrushes have charcoal infused bio-nylon bristles that are100% recyclable and will make your teeth whiter! They also comes in packs of 8 which they estimate will last you the entire year and if you have some leftover when the end of the year comes around, you'll have some great stocking stuffers for your friends and family.

Makeup Removers:

Our Earth Beauty- Makeup removers are another everyday item you might not have thought of as reusable. These ones are made from 100% organic bamboo velvet. This bundle comes with 10 of them, 2 microfiber facial cleansing gloves, and 1 reusable laundry bag. They're chemical-free, reusable, and perfect for even sensitive skin. The packaging is also plastic free and recyclable.

Hair:

Ethique- This New Zealand brand created shampoo and conditioner bars that can replace about 5 bottles of the average liquid alternative. The shampoos come in seven flavors. The conditioner is made with coconut oil, cocoa butter, and vanilla. Both are 100% soap free (don't worry they'll still clean your hair!) and pH balanced so they're safe to use on dyed hair. They're vegan, eco-friendly, palm-oil free, plastic free, come in compostable packaging, plus they're perfect for traveling. They also make shampoo for dogs and kids!
